Elina is a tortie classic girl. She is the most tender-hearted of our cats and observes everything that goes on around her before deciding how to react to the new stimulus. Her observing skills make her also a very intelligent cat. For instance, she figured out from the second playing time that the laser pointer was the "thing" making the red dot appear on the floor and therefore, each time we open the drawer where the laser pointer is, she gets ready to play. However, her favourite toys are small balls and flying toys. When she was a kitten she would jump higher than any other cat (and in my opinion against all laws of physics) in order to reach the flying intruder. Sometimes, she still does it now, although most of the time she is
lazy wise and waits for the toy will come closer to her 😺. It was nice to find out that the "extremely high jumping" trait gets transferred to some of her kittens!
Elina has a clear understanding that Sunny (our housecat) is her mother, spiritual guru and basically God (Sunny, by the way, thinks the same about herself). Her devotion and admiration to Sunny is incredible and our beloved housecat has to work hard day and night to not let Elina be disappointed in her expectations.
Elina is our fluffiest cat. However, what impresses even more than her fur, is her tail. This is moving very expressively. I believe that if cat shows would have a competition in “Tail Dancing”, Elina would win all the prizes. However, as there is no such competition, we have the honour of being the only spectators to her beautiful tail dances, something that fills us with joy!
Elina's father, Gr. Int.Ch. Beilis, is a foundation cat from Russia. Siberian cats are a natural breed, and one of the few breeds where new cats that have an exterior according to the standard, can be classified as Siberians. Such cats are called foundation cat and are very useful to decrease inbreeding and increase the health of the breed. This means that Elina's genes represent a completely new gene pool which can be spread in Norway and Europe. In addition, our cat lacks genetic diseases due to inbreeding. We thank the Slavicat cattery in Moscow for this lovely girl!
Elina is the proud mother of five kittens from Litter A. She is a very responsible and caring mother.
